Being a mother has both challenges and joys, particularly for my wonderful son, who has autism. As a parent and professional committed to helping people with a range of challenges, my viewpoint has been significantly inspired by my son’s path.
My BS in psychology and Master’s degree in special education have prepared me to understand and foster growth in others. However, my son’s unique needs and strengths inspired me to go beyond and dive into the world of applied behavior analysis (ABA). I’m now in the process of earning my certification to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)—a path that blends my personal and professional passions.
Enabling my kid and others like him to thrive in their own special ways is just as important as finding answers. My goal is to establish environments where individuals with autism can reach their greatest potential and feel supported and understood.
